Default Turbo price?

Hey everyone so I have been a American muscle guy and I got a civic about 6 months ago.

Have to say I am impressed I beat on it daily, it holds up quite well.
Good gas mpg.

The only thing I miss is my power

So anyway I was wondering if someone could just give me a ball park figure of a OK turbo set up.

I know I would need a full kit, a tune, and a new exhaust so it could breath.

its mainly my work car but I figured I could possibly do a turbo and have a little more power and fun!!!

Depending on price that is.

Also dont take this the wrong way but if I do, do this what exhaust is good but quiet? I dont want a loud exhaust I dont like the way they sound.

Thanks everyone!!!

Edit 93 civic 5 speed, 130k miles, 1. something forgot lol I can check though!

I had a Greddy kit for the longest time and loved it for daily driving. You can expect around 180-190whp and ~175tq from that kit at around 10lbs of boost and a good tune. I recommend the Greddy SP2 exhaust, which I ran with the kit. It's not loud at all, and sounds great at idle and wide open throttle.

You can expect to spend about $3000 on the kit brand new, which includes the intercooler and stuff, and about $500 on the exhaust new. You could find an even better buy if you search used, but if you want a no-headache kit that's reliable and retains the AC/power steering and such, the Greddy kit is awesome.

The Greddy D series kit is a perfect start if you've never turboed anything before.
Great daily driver kit.
Thats what I beat on for a year or so, then I decided to swap a B series, and turbo that.
Be careful, you'll get boost addicted.

I'm a previous musclecar guy as well, class of 89! First car was a 1967 Plymouth Satelitte, started as a 318, I swapped in a 440 in shop class in highscool. Later on had a 85' 5.0 mustang. Also had an older Nissan 4x4 that I got tired of and swapped a chevy 305 from a Nova into it, retained 4x4, and went wild in the woods, total redneck conversion.

Strangely enough my little honda is the quickest car to date that I've owned. Honestly don't think I could drive another honda daily unless it was boosted... too used to the power now.

As a sidenote, I still have that 92-95 greddy kit in the garage. Was going to bolt it into my mom-in-laws 93 4dr civic, and see if she notices. that might be alittle crazy tho... ;-)

a good complete turbo kit will run you close to if not over 1800, new you're looking at closer to 3k.

the edelbrock kit is pretty sweet to, get the track version and get your ecu tuned for it

I can't remember there was a well known vendor that had the kit for $2800

Garret ball bearing turbo
victor X intake mani ,etc.

It's a complete kit
