Turbo a D16 Help?
Okay,
So I've decided to turbo the D. Can I just order the kit and install it or do i need a good ECU to go with it.??? The D16 is STock and everything in there.

yea you could have a stock ECU but its better if you get it chipped.
and the upgraded internals, fuel injectors, fuel pump, etc dont come with the kit.
well some kits come with it. but most dont. so you have to but it seperatly.

Wow, Okay im getting rdy to turbo my d16, My suggestion to you is Do not buy a ebay turbo kit that's just stupid. All you really need to buy is a turbo, manifold, dsm injectors, fuel pump, intercooler and all the piping, Crushed Dsm blow off valve, ARP Head studs, Stage 2 or higher clutch, And take it somewere to get tuned.
If you take your time and get this stuff slowly you can prolly get everything you need for under a 900. Then tunning would idealy be around 300 to 400 depeding on if you get it up on a dyno or just have some one hook up to your ECU.. So on..

Depending in how many miles are on your car.. you can prolly run around 15-17 psi on stock internals for a while before worrying about blowin up ur car. What im predicting with that set up i just said i'll be running a high to mid 13 running on 17 PSI with a big evo 16g turbo. Just some food for thought.
