Default Trip meter will not reset

I have instrument cluster out of a 1995 del Sol and the trip meter is stuck and will not reset. Is there a way of fixing this issue. Thanks in advance.

My trip meter doesn't like being reset either. I found the best way to get it to reset is push the button as the digits are changing. So once your tenth mile wheel on the meter gets to 9 start bashing the reset button.

I'll have to try that. I'm just wondering if something came loose inside there.

They're basically just really tiny plastic gears. If something just came loose, yeah, it's easy to fix, you just have to be careful in there. If something broke, you'll need a donor cluster.
