Trany problems
hey guys i am new to this forum and i have a 98 hatch with the d16z6 in it and recently i have had some problems getting it in gear. i replaced the slave cylinder and was going to replace the master cylinder but got the wrong part. but it worked good after that for about a week. it sometimes will shift fine but then others i have to force it in gear like its not disengageing all the way. to add to this i have a act pressure plate, excedy stage 1 disc and fidanza flywheel. thanks for the help

Re: Trany problems (onephatcivic98)
i had some issues after changing my clutch...gears would not work. After searching, heres what i have found
1-Leak in the hydro system
2-Bad slave/master cylinder
3-Bad throw out bearing
4-Bad pressure plate
5-Issues with pilot bearing (the one that goes on the flywheel, where the input shaft is)
6-Shifter stabilizer is too tight
7-AIR IN THE SYSTEM (sounds silly, but i didn't drive my car for 3 weeks before finding that was it)

Re: Trany problems (onephatcivic98)
i have had the cluch in for about 6 months. i was really leaning towrds the master cylinder cause it doesnt happen all the time but it is getting worse so i dont drive it. my cluch pedel feels good but i have had some people say it could be my cluch and after diagnosing on it some it seems that is what it may be. if thats the case im probly just going to go back to stock cluch and flywheel.
