Transmission Swap...
95-Del Sol-Auto
Hello everyone, I need help with my transmission. When driving somewhat aggressive, and shifting from 2-3 the car revs up for a second and then back down. It also doesn't go anywhere when I press down on the gas all the way.
So my questions is this, since my transmission is going, what kind of transmission should I look for? I've supplied a picture of my engine. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

No, I'm just not familiar with Honda parts. Reason I show my engine and ask about a transmission is because I found a guy selling one but it was for a B16a? And I don't have that engine.
And by the way, forums are a place to get answers but more importantly to learn. If your going to be a smart *** than stay off my post. If you don't feel like helping someone in need go some place else. Help a new member of your great community. Don't instantly put them down. And if I didn't do something correctly, tell me. Don't mock me.

The answer is pretty friggin' simple. Get the exact transmission that's in your car RIGHT NOW so it can be plug and play. You don't have a B16? DON'T BUY A TRANSMISSION FOR A B16!!! You don't have to know Hondas to figure that one out do you?

Re: Transmission Swap...
Let's start off with the fact that you have a D-series engine so you need a transmission for a D-series engine. It's an automatic transmission in there now so you need an automatic transmission for a D-series engine.
Now go out and see if you have any markings on your transmission that look like this. Example shown is for a manual.

Do years have to be matched? How about chassis? Can a 93 EH9 auto be replaced with a 95 EJ1's automatic? what if I find a d16z6 del sol automatic, will that work or no?

Re: Transmission Swap...
OP has provided quite a fair amount of pertinent information and is still getting snipped at unjustly in my opinion. Some people may need to go be pissed off somewhere else for a bit.
OP I believe you need to stick to the 92-95 year range S24A transmission. Or if you are up for it, do the manual transmission swap. It's a lot of work but will be worth it in the end. Any 92-95 D-series manual would complement the engine nicely. EX/SI being the performance orientated manuals and CX/DX/VX being the economy based manuals. That's assuming you don't mind driving a standard transmission.
