Default Transmission fluid change...

I performed an MTF change in my Civic yesterday and am now confused...

The problem is, all the DIY's I have seen say to fill until fluid starts coming out of the fill hole. Also, 2.2-2.3 quarts. Well, I filled up with 2.2 quarts, nothing started coming out, so I added more until it started coming out, which was another half quart or so...

So which is correct? and why would my car take more?

I have a full B16B swap with the CTR transmission. Do they take more than the the USDM transmissions?

Someone please help. I haven't driven the car since I did the change yesterday and that was only for a short while to get everything circulated and all.

Do I need to redo it or am I ok with slightly more fluid in the transmission?

You should be good as long as you have filled until the manual transmission fluid has dripped out of the fill hole.

So the tranmission now how has ~2.5 quarts in it?

we've always gone about 2.3 quarts and left it at thart. Never had any issues.

Make sure the car is level when the fluid is dripping out from the fill hole.

There's different specs for b and d series, and full tear down, and just a drain and fill. You also don't have a USDM transmission, so maybe that's part of it. Maybe you weren't totally level

Mine also took about 2.8 quartz, no worries about that.
maybe some of the fuild has dropped out the transmission among those 2.8

Simply u can put ur finger in the whole and if u can touch the fuild...that this is great, its full...just install the bolt and let us hear the vtec
