tranny oil leak
ok this is a LS tranny and the drivers side oil seal will not stop leaking old one looked good(no cracks) replaced with a new one today and still leaking from seal. Pulled seal out again to make sure that I had it within OEM specs of clearnce everything checks out. Could this possibly be a problem with the tranny on the inside???? I would think not but I am out of awnsers now. This is driving me crazy pelase somebody help!!!!!!

Re: tranny oil leak
Are you sure that you got the correct seal? I have damaged them when installing them ripped the rubber on the outside of the seal. Removing and reinstalled the same seal is a good way to make it leak. If the spring is missing on the seal it will leak and last but not least bad diff bearings can cause to much play and chew up the seal but that is not really common

Re: tranny oil leak
go to the dealer and ask for some Honda Bond and put it all over the seal then put the tranny back on and let is sit for a day.... if that dont stop you leak then i dont know what will. i use this **** on all my rubber gaskets... just in case.
