so my friend just bought an eg with a sohc zc block n vtec head...I'm not sure what tranny he has but theres big problems with it. When u go to bang 2nd it grinds or it pops out of gear if ur going slow in 2nd n if u try to hold it in 2nd it grinds horribly. Also when u go into 3rd the car sounds completely different like if it was rubbing against something but i'm pretty sure its coming from the tranny. N to top everything off we tested the car against my hooptie suzuki esteem with 80hp n i almost beat him by a fender lol...That was very funny n the look in his face was even more...What do u guys think is wrong with this car? is the tranny shot completely?

Chill the expletive out, it's only been 3 hours.

I almost wanna say the ISB but it also sounds like the syncromesh for 2nd is fucked up OR the shift fork is bent.

expletive dat, I'd pull apart the whole tranny, it definitely sounds like more than one issue.

EDIT:
Regardless, the tranny'll have to come apart, so might as well crack it 'n see what's up.

yea man, i think that tranny has so many issues he might as well pic up a mint ex or si tranny.....i'm going to drain it n put some redline tranny oil in it tomorrow....ill laugh if when i unbolt the drain bolt nothing comes out..lol
