Default (tranny) Horrible grinding noise

96 Hatch, CX. I tried changing the tranny fluid, I thought maybe that would help but it didn't. The noise sounds louder the lower the gear I'm in. So it's at it's loudest in 1st, and can barely be heard in 5th. You can hear it in neutral, and it goes away when I step on the clutch. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure this is going to have to end with me buying a new tranny.

Stock CX motor. Something tells me it's a syncro problem, but I don't know.

its going to be your Trow out bearing... you going to have to replace it, and depending on how your clutch is you might want to consider gettin a new 1 as well..

Yeah, I'll just go ahead and get the whole clutch kit with the bearing and all. I've had the car for 3 year now, so I think it's due.
