Re: help with shifter bushings
it is the bushing around the shifter. its called a dust boot and you can get it at Honda. it should have a metal ring inside of it along with some grease. the ball of the shifter goes in the metal ring part of the boot and that metal plate goes on the top section of the rubber boot.

nope everything is all tight i actually did it today i replaced the clutch cuz the one was messed up.. since i had the trans off i decided to do the linkage and everything went back the way it came off. so i doubt its the bolts im gonna check that dust boot tomorrow when i get a chance.

Re: Too much play in shifter -- What bushing needs to be replaced?
I know when I swapped my tranny, my shifter had a lot of play after. Turned out it was the shift linkage pin, you know the pain in the butt one you have to hammer out and in that holds the linkage to the tranny. Was using a bolt instead of the oem pin and had tons of play. Put in a new pin and good to go.
