Tinting sunroof
so i know this might now be the right place to post this, but this forum moves very quickly compared to others here on HT
my questions
1. Has anyone ever tinted there sun roof? Pros/Cons
2. Will it fade faster due to it being on the top direct sunlight
it would be done in a limo tint like darkness, dont know % yet
I have at least 4 tinting shops here so im bound to find one that will do it, i was just looking out the window at the EM1 and i see the reverse side of the tray and i dont like seeing it, and it is highly visable sense my car is 2in's from the ground so it would in my mind look clean.

Re: Tinting sunroof
i have the cover that slides i just dont like how i can see the back side of it if your looking down on the car. just doesnt look that good. but the tint will match up with the rest of the car good, black rims, carbon fiber hood, and black tint. also im planning on doing a tint job on the front window like my wifes car. banner style on the top and bottom of the glass but i need to get a new window first.... grr crack grew like a biatch

I've heard some tint shops say you can't tint a moonroof because it can crack from heating up.
Then again, I've also been told a 6G moonroof won't crack because it's made of Temperlite.
The cover piece you're talking about is called the sunshade btw.

I had mine done and love it. I got 5% and from the outside you can't see in the car but I can see fine out. It's been workin for me so far. I love it. You will be happy if you do it.
