Default Timing Belt Help

I drive a '98 Hatchback (cx), purchased the car used 2 years ago and have done all the work on it myself. The engine is stock, no mods, and has apx. 105 thousand miles. I don't know if the owner before me replaced the timing belt or not. How do I do a visual inspection of the belt?

thanks

If you're not sure when the previous owner changed it and you've owned it for 2 years and haven't changed it I would change it just to be safe.

timing belt intervals are 60-75k depending on engine type and location (weather)
see what the spec is for service intervals on your timing belt. If your really nervous about it, just change it. it is deffinatly insurance, and it's not the difficult to change

Ya if you plan on changing it yourself just go ahead and do it. The bolt on the crank pulley isn't hard, just make sure you have a huge breaker bar and a long pole.
