They right way in Japan?
OK so alot of people like to put the jdm side markers on there car. I can understand b/c i got some too. The problem im having is how they are wired. I have heard two diff. things. One they are off and flash with ur turn signal and two they are on and flash opposite ur turn signal? Anyone either live in japan or know the correct way they are supposed to be done? They have there wires and have heard only to use two but also heard they have three wires use them all. Any advise would be cool. thank.

there we go, if you have true JDM sidemarkers you will have them always on and blink opposite.
if they are USDM then its the way ccivic said

I know what you mean. How exactly do you do this?

Re: (Lynxen)
See how everyone has a diff opinion of what is right. That is my problem. I have the jdm ones with the three wires. Anyone in Japan actually see them or have them? I just want them to be the correct way. and to make them blink opp. is easy.

actually illegal for them to blink oppossite. due to the way your 4-ways work they should only blink when turn signal on and if they are on when the corner lights on it needed to be a factory option.

i know i have read that post 93egsedan. That is were i first sw that the jdm way is to be on all the time. Every where else i hear that off and blinks with turn signal is the jdm way. Does anyone have the exact answer. It seem each person has there own opinion or is going on what the see on page. anyone know for sure like 100% that either way is the right way?
I know how to wire it up either way i just want to know what is the right way in japan. If its legal or not doesnt really matter.

do you mean (when you said opposite the first thing that popped into my mind)
for example (was when you turn your left signal on that the right sidemarker)
Left corner light / Left Side Marker (would Blink)
........... on ..................... off
........... off ..................... on
........... on ..................... off
etc....
I would like to see them with a dual bulb, so when you turn on your lights they would be slightly illuminated and the when you use them they would light up brighter (or maybe it's just that everone i see has them wrong or i just didn't notice)

Re: (Vintech)
They're def. off during normal driving. As for blinking with your turn signals or on the 'off beat' of your turn signals, I'm not sure.. but I'm 90% sure that they blink with them. Feel free to prove me wrong, though.
