Uhh you sure it's turning completely off? I know with some cars they dim when you turn the lights on. Maybe you hooked it up to a wire you thought was negative but is really a light wire?

How many wires? I wonder....is it just not getting the power for the low level lighting when you turn the lights on.....

I have the exact same problem. The wiring is the same, as far as I can tell. I kinda wrote it off as being a bad unit.

try pushing the flap in at the bottom when it goes dim. Mine is real dim with the lights on, but comes brighter when you do that

XxSOHCDriVerxX, why not use the usdm one and make amber out of it? i did it to mine and you can't tell the difference between usdm and jdm one.
