THere's alot of play in my dizzy rotor... misfire???
ok Iam having a misfire at around 3.5-4kin my h22 swapped hatch. I took my dizzy cap off and i noticed alot of play on my rotor shaft. Not the actualy rotor, but on the shaft that the rotor screws down to. Is there suspose to be play on the shaft, is so would that cause my misfire and poor acceleration. i've searched and changed basically everything.....

I don't think there should be any play. Can you get another alternator and try it out to see if it takes care of your problem?

Bumpin this up in hopes for answers. I get misfires at the exact same point in RPM's as well as sluggish acceleration.
Could the play in the rotor shaft be causing this?
And to the original poster, where'd you get your dizzy from?

I just bought a new OEM dizzy off ebay, It fixed most of the problems. All I need now is a good tune on chrome.
BTW my last dizzy was crap, its like night and day compared to my new dizzy.
funny thing is both are OEM, and I replaced ICM in old one, and it still sucked ***.
I guess the only thing to do is replace the whole dizzy.

Thats awesome news for me. I have to have mine turned all the way retarded to get it to run right.
New dizzy is on it's way, hopefully this cures by problem too!
Thanks for the info
