You can, but why make things hard on you? You're gonna need cams and valvetrain (JUN stage2 ownz, but i'm still a skunk2 fan)..
Are you wanting to stick with pump gas?!

Yes this is very possible, My own personal experience with my si is a 14.7 w/ I/H/E and VAFC and clutch. Super Street had an SI during the SI challange and went 13.9 w/ a JUN create motor. It's very possible. I'd go with a 1.8 stroker kit, P/P'ed head a set of stage 3 cams, and TWM ITB's and some time on a dyno with Hondata. The only other thing you could do them if it still didn't hit 14.0's is do a little weight saving in the car and take out the accessories. Good luck man

you want 14's or 14 flat?
you can def get into the 14's with the usual boltons,
maybe cams or something?
to hit 14flat, you would want to build up the motor, high compression, a vtec controller, some tuning, maybe dump some weight out of the car, and slicks would do alot of good.

Sound like AzSi22.. He has a nice setup.
If you're really concerned with 1/4 mile times, I'd say start with your basic boltons; Intake, a good 4-1 2.5" collector header and a good free-flowing exhaust. If you can get a VAFC dyno-tuned that will also help you get a few hp and smooth out your power band. Shed some weight; back seats, spare tire and whatever else you can live without and you can easily be in the low 14s. Also remember good sticky tires (slicks if possible) with the appropriate tire pressure is important.

that should do it....
But really, if you really wanted, you could build a bigger motor then the b16 with just a bit more money. Bottom line, if you want to do that with all motor, your going to need to rip apart the whole motor, or do a another swap. both are pricey.

If you are set on running NA and want to run at least 14.0, it will be difficult to do with a B16a, its possible, but in a pig of a car like a Si, it is definately harder. It was more of a challenge to run 14.0 out here because of the elevation at this track 3000+ feet above sea level. The easiest way to go fast in a heavier car is to do a couple things. First is weight reduction, I have taken over 300 lbs out of my car, but have sacrificed a few things that some may not want to consider (bumper supports, extra braces etc). With me out of my car and 1 driver's seat, my car weighs right around 2300 with 1/3 tank of gas. This is still with A/C, power windows, power locks, stereo, cruise control and chassis braces. Since I am not a small guy (225lbs) the more I can take out of my car, the better.
The second thing to do is displacement. The b16a just doesn't have enough torque to get a 2600lb + driver car down the track effectively. My suggestion is a b18cX, X can be 1, 5 or whatever. I like LS/Vtecs, but as far as building a reliable, daily driven car that will last a while, I don't think any Honda 1.8 liter motor can beat a B18C. Decent compression, (11.1-12.0) is good, LSD, some decent cams, decent bolt-ons slicks and tuning will get you into the 13's most likely if you do do weight reduction and are a decent driver.
On my old setup (B18C1, B16a head (mild p&p) 11:1CR, GSR cams, LSD and drag radials) I went 13.77@99.6 at a much lower elevation, my best here was a 14.08@97.5. Recently I went 13.82@99 on slicks, 40+ degrees hotter, and at this elevation with my newer setup (12:1 CR, CTR cams are the major difference). This is good for about 13.3 at sea level. Hopefully I can go faster when it cools down some more. Hope this helps.

Completely gut it, lexan windows, fiberglass body and slicks with completely stock motor.

Re: (deepnite)
i think you can hit a 14 with i/h/e/ stg II cams...maybe some p&p some light weight rims and some weight reduction...that should put you in the 13's if you can drive

Re: (mugensport9)
I don't think he had in mind spending $5k on his motor. AzSi22 gave a good explanation. Weight reduction and piecing together good parts should make low 14s a feasible time..

buy a b20 block, send your head in to get port/polished, valvetrain, and youll definiately be in the low 14's with weight reduction. Thats not even with a great pass.

yeah and you will waste a shitload of money too... listen if you want a fast car man just save your money and get a better car man...
too many other cars out there with greater power potential than an fwd honda.
you will spend like 5 grand just getting into high 12's with your car. Whats the point?
I spent 2 grand on a complete rebuild and im sure if I slap some cams in it and tune in I can get easy 14's with the engine now.
id rather just slap a jackson blower on it for cruise power worry free man.
