I bet he could hit high 14's, but it would more than likely depend on what I/H/E he is actually using..

it would be possible, if he took the doors, hood, trunk, all windows, fenders, bumpers, bumper supports, and gutted the interior, and he became anemic...

TOTAL BS

Not nessacarily(sp),your friend could have arare "freak" motor that runs real strong. I really stress the word could though. I mean I ran a 15.5@89.8mph in my 00 si with only a short ram intake, which isnt bad, however, there are many people on this board with 99-00 si's that run high 14's with I/H/E. I don't think it's impossible to run that, just really really hard. Is your friend a good (amazing) driver, if he is then maybe, if not, then 15's -16's sounds about right.

It depends on the driver's skill. I belive with some weight reduction that it could be possible.

Anything's possible.

A friend with a 99 si with i/h/e who gutted the interior had a best pass of 15.5 i think with slicks 14s are possible, but otherwise those semi-stock Sis are pretty slow.

I thought Si's were mid 15 sec. cars out of the box. I think that it would be possible to run low 15's to high 14's with the i/h/e combo.

a lot of guys can't get integra GSRs into the 14s with i/h/e.. it's BS. it doesn't matter how good of a driver you are, no SI with i/h/e will ever see 14s without slicks/more engine work. they are low 16 secs out of the box.

I don't know about a mid 14. But a my friend's Si ran 15.6 many times when it was stock. Now he runs a 14.3 with a 50 shot, and a AEM CAI.

I agree with BottleFedCRX. It is very difficult to pull 14s times with just I/H/E in a 99-00 SI. There are some motors that are "freaks" and very strong. Also driving ability. With a little weight reduction and a good I/H/E setup and traction (tires) high 14s seem more realistic..

well first off when did he run the car? i have a friend that has the same setup but he ran in the middle of the winter like 40 degree temp and he ran 14.6 full interior depends on the driver. i on the other hand i have a similar setup but i weight a lot more then he does but i have a test pipe and was only able to run low 15's i dunno

14.6 with i/h/e in a 99-00 SI full interior? either he had slicks and lots of skill or hes mario andretti, that time is not realistic, regardless of the temp. Sis with those minor bolt-ons are lucky to hit the mid-15s. I find more and more Si owners embelleshing their times, most likely because they paid close to $20k for a car that isnt really "there" in the perf department.

Those 2600lb (giving them the benefit of the doubt) dogs will never see a 14 (let alone a mid 14) with only I/H/E - period.

mario andretti
Like he would have skill on the strip. No disrespect to the him—he's amazing on a race course.

But I'd put Steph in the driver's seat of an Si at a dragstrip.

The only way its possible is if the si was a red one.

damn,, my car must really suck.. before I added a supercharger my fastest time was a 17.2, and no its not because the driver sucks because i had 10 different people run my si and quickest time achieved was a 17.2
I think that the elevation has a big role though, me living in Utah with 5,000 feet elevation doesn't help very much!!!!!!! Now that i have a JRSC my time dropped to a 15.1!!!!!!!! and my si is still slow!!!!!!!! ohh well, still looks good

what the.......your si ran a 17.2 ????????? holy ****!

i know of two people that hit high 14's with just an intake, however this was no interior, and im sure the bumper supports and maybe A/C were gone. But i thought car and driver got a 15.2 in the first testing of the SI. Factory freaks do exist, a normal SI has around 133-135whp, but some people have dyno's in the area of 140ish, bone stock
