TEINS over Tanabe neday. But definitely not the SS. might as well get the basics. Honestly a buddy has them on his eg. Horrible. The spring rates r soft. Not even taking a turn that hard. The spring compresses so much the tire rubs. I dont think theres a point in getting full coilovers if u want to be comfortable.
I dont intend to put down nebody with this.
I think its just give n take. Give up some comfort for awesome handling. I have HAs on my 240. Rides rougher than shiet. But gotta love it in the turns. I actually dont mind the rough ride at all. I wish i had Tein RAs
Actually i wish i had APEXi N1 Pros. My favorite right now.

its actully called super street or something but might as well be called "super shitty." my friend has them
and you cant even feel the differance from soft to firmest setting. i'd take tokico illumina's over SS any day.

i say go with apexi n1's they are the bomb if you got the cash for it. im running them on my EH2 and it feels like a champ. just consider them if you decide on buying a damper setup.

I disagree with this. I have them on my car and the back end does seem stiffer when you make the shocks stiffer. Now if you make the front all the way hard too, then sure you won't feel it b/c the front has a higher spring rate. But if you keep the front a little lower than the back to compensate for the springs you'll feel it. I know I did this weekend at the autocross test and tune. So unless I'm crazy, he probably just has the front set as hard as the back.

Re: tein vs tanabe (ek four)
I would say Tanabe any day over Tein, if you want a pretty good setup for not a lot I would look into the Tanabe GF210 Springs with KYB AGX's and that will work pretty well for street driving and a little track time. If you are like me and really don't care making your car look super low I would go this route. I am collecting these parts as well as some other parts right now for my hatch and I ran the same setup on my 96 Accord Ex and I can't complain by far the KYB AGX's and Tanabe Sustec Springs go great together. Because Tanabe full coil-overs use a custom made Adjustable KYB shock, so the two seem to go together pretty nice. My best friend also has the same setup on his 98 Integra GS and he loves the handling and ride also. Also from experience I have bought numerous products made by Tanabe and the quality is some of the best I have seen. Of course this is just my input but I would say go the Tanabe route.

I went for the basics on integra rates for my 2100 lbs hatch. I love them.

Now if that isn't bad information I don't know what is.
OEM springs that are 1% stiffer eh? Check the spring rates and then you can make an attempt to argue with me.

initially i was going to get tein SS dc2 rates on my eh2, but was convinced in buying the apex n1 coilovers. However i will be getting the dc2-r setup and will also be getting the ITR LCA's.
I decided to pass up on tein also because i've been hearing a lot of bad things about them. My bro also has tein ss's for his ej6. They're good but the ride isnt as good to what was expected.
UPS guy/gal should be coming very soon with them my setup.
I will have better peace of mind, knowing i got just about one of the best setup-ups out there

ya that's bullshit..I have tein SS and I had then on 12 when I first got the, left it there for about a week then cranked it up to 16 and I could definately feel a difference in stiffness...

Re: tein vs tanabe (CivicSi2000)
the only thing i can say is SS and basic from tein is for low end user thats why they are not so good. however, anything from RE and up are very good.
P.S. just dont buy any JIC product from US importer(Ziel motorsport), everyone in the industry knows that Jon is a total jackass.
