Tacho problems, need help...
Ok here is my situation: (D16Z6)
Three of days ago I my tachometer started jumping around when I take it above 3500 rpm. So two days ago I pulled off the distributer cap and found oil on the outer bottom edge where the cap and distbuter meet. I cleaned it with a paper towl and put it back on. The tach didn't stop doing it, but then it took about 4500 rpm to make it jump. So yesterday, I pulled the whole damn distributer off and sprayed it down, including the inside with contact cleaner. I also went to Honda and bought another seal for the distributer because I figured that's what was causing oil to get in there. So I take it out for a drive and it went away!!! Today,
it started up again. I want to say that it's oil, but I replaced the seal. Does anyone have any sugestions on what I should do? Ever heard of this before? Anyone?

I had a similiar probelm with my 92 Si. It turned out to be the ignition control module in the distibuter...I didn't have the oil probelm and I got a check engine light and a code 15.........$100 bucks from Honda.
