I just got a used 96 accord ex last week and wanted to take it go get an oil change and the whole 9. yesterday i went to get an oil change and the guy said that there was an oil leak. i hadn't seen any leaks in the drive way so i brushed it off for him just trying to get paid more money.

today i went to the dealership to try and get a diagnostic appt and he said i could come back on wednesday. as SOON as i left the dealership and got on the highway my oil light started blinking. when I got home i looked behind the car and there was a trail of oil.

I checked the oil and it was completely empty...the tank cap is on and i didn't see any oil leaking from there but it's comming from somewhere else. where could it be leaking from?!?

 

Fill it back up with oil.....clean the engine bay and see where it leaks.

If there is no leak in the morning, start it up and let it run for a little while and see if you cannot find any leaks then.

Running without oil is going to kill your engine in about a 20 miles.....they don't like not having lube
