Default Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's?

The headlights on my wife's '99 EX sedan really suck especialy on low beam. Would Sylvania Silver Star Ultra bulbs help? Will they draw to much and melt my wiring harness?

As long as you get the correct bulb which is 60/55W. You will be fine.

ID like to recommend the Philips X-Treme bulbs.
Or check out the GE nighthawks. Myself id stay away from sylvania.

They are for mainly looks, they are tinted bulbs and tinted bulbs=less output. So you should either re-aim the headlights if they are off or get HIDs.

Rather than the Silver Stars, I'd choose either the Philips X-treme Power or the new Osram Night Breaker.

Default Bulbs

I have looked at four diff. autoparts stores here in new England and I can't find anything other than the Silverstar Ultras. NO GE Nighthawks, NO philip's products, no Osram, and i am in New Hampshire where they are now based out of???

Check Walmart for GE Nighthawks. They are the only store I've seen carry them.

If you'd like Philips X-Treme Power, Osram Silverstars, or Osram NightBreakers ... order from here:

The easiest thing to do is to order form a site such as PowerBulbs or Autolamps Online.

Will the H4 bulbs referenced in this thread fit a 98 DX hatch?

Yes, H4 and 9003 are interchangeable, and are the appropriate bulb size for all 92-00 Civics (with the exception of the JDM 92-95 which take the H4H).

cool! I was not sure since the manual states HB2 and the website indicated a XP9003 which was not listed on their own application table.
THANKS
