do you need to have a functional obd-2 port to pass emissions in your area? if so, stop now. if you can run on the rollers to pass emissions, read on. you will need to swap the alternator over from your y7 to the z6. since the z6 has a unique distributor, you'll either need to repin the obd-2 plug onto it, or cut/splice the connector, or order a jumper harness to make it work. your current engine harness can be made to run the z6, however, you will need to convert the IACV to 2 wire on the harness and add/run wires for VTEC to work. you would run the p28 ecu from your donor vehicle, but will need an adapter harness to have it plug and play. you can either splice in the obd-1 harness fuel injector clips and retain the z6 injectors, or source a set of injectors from a y8, since the y7 are smaller than the z6/y8. axles and shift linkage are the same, and you will reuse the mounts and brackets from the y7. since your y7 is cat on manifold, you'll want to move the manifold and cat over from the z6 car.

Start by researching how to do the swap and see if your up to taking on the challenge.

Use Google, you can narrow search results to single sites like Honda-tech.com or dseries.org for some really detailed swap information
