Swapped a Ported head on my d16z6... won't start.. bad timing maybe
This post is for my friend...
Just swapped a used Ported and polished head on my d16z6 and hooked everything up and it wont fire..
Everything is conected, and i think i did the timing right from my manual.
When i try to turn the motor over with the key it makes a ZInggy noise comming from the distributor.
The number #2 spark plug wire is broken alittle, but shouldnt the motor still start?
We have triple checked the timing and even tried it 180 degrees more.
Please help asap

We checked TDC, lined up all marks according to manual.
Like i said before distributor makes a Zingging noise when cracking over. Timing belt moves, but there is still no compression.
We have tried everything and now asking the world of Honda Tech so i don't have to go to a shop
Thanks

well, i would make a list of all the steps you can think of doing with swapping the head. list the diffrences on a sheet of paper as well. Then go down the list and inspect each with detail.
