Default swapped from cx to dx

Has anyone ever done or has an eg like this. The motor was swapped at the shop I bought it from. It's a bone stock dx motor but it feels like it's got a big turbo. I've tried new spark plugs (helped a little), timing, plug wires (oem), fuel filter, oil and filter, cap and rotor and it still runs under par. Any suggestions. I can't afford a b series motor at the moment and I do have a cx motor I could swap but I'd rather keep the dx. How hard would it be to swap the cx motor back in the cx chassis? Thanks.

cx motor =

cx tranny =

save up and get a nice fresh EX/Si D series swap or figure more out about what you DO have in the car

What do you mean by this? Do you mean that the car starts out sluggish but towards the top of your powerband the car starts to pull better?

what tranny do you have? Also try to advance the timing. Use premium fuel and bump up the timing it will help out on the bottom end. Try and get an ex or si tranny also. The lower final drive will give you good bottom end and you will like the "power" better.

You probably still have the cx tranny.

I did that swap at first cause my CX head gasket was bad. My felt like crap in the beginning too. DX motor, CX tranny, and CX ECU.....once I got my DX ECU, everything was fine. All I added was new plug wires, cheap ones from the near auto parts store.
