Default Attention all CX owners with a swap....

Well today i was messing around with my new 93 CX and i was thinking to myself
"am i really going to be able to notice a big difference between the B18c1 powerd 93 SI and the CX with the same motor?"

i know Tom had a SI with a B18c5 and then got a CX and put the same motor

so if anyone has first hand expirence with this feel free to comment or even if you have a comment about the topic

basicly i want to know if the car is gonna pull harder...or is it a waste of time

I think the only way youll notice a lil diff., would be from going from a full interior SI to a gutted CX.
But then again there should be a difference because the CX is lighter by 232lbs.

i kno i wont see any dyno gains i just want to know if its worht it or not
i think the weight difference is about 300lbs...my SI is heavy
the cx has no power steering, ac,power mirrors, door locks, big 12inch sub and amp in the backohh yeah and that sunroof.

There will be a difference whether you feel it or not.. my friend has a b18c1 in his full interior Si that I drive all the time and it definetely feels slower then my CX (fully stripped w/ a b16a sir2). But there is probably like a 500lb weight difference between those two cars.

*edit: this is w/o the blower btw

Unless you have direct experince with owning both an Si and Cx/Vx with the same motor, then you really cannot comment with confidence can you?

I noticed a huge difference from going from a 2289lb. Si hatch to a 2040lb. Cx hatch with the same engine and brakes.

Acceleration, braking, and even cornering are better with the Cx. I noticed more body roll with the Si because of all that extra weight up top - not so with the CX.

I still own a 1992 Si too so don't call me a Si hater.

Just to make myself clear, I've drivin my friend's Si more then enough times to understand the acceleration differences (not to mention built most of it with him) between the two. Even though his engine was puttin down more power then mine, the car was still noticeably slower.

well my friend has a cx with a stock b16a and its gutted...i raced him with my Si with full interior and he beat me a few times.

then he got a jdm 4-1 header and ctr cams and kicked my ***....so i think weight makes a huge difference

but ill let you guys know when everything is changed over
