Tried starting the car today with the ignition barrel from the new engine.. Then the immobilizer light went crazy, and the starter didn't turn...

Yup, my conclusion to.. Two strange things though:
1. I though the key recognition parts was in the ECU, so I was prepared to have to reprogram it or something.. Obviously it doesn't I won't have to do that.
2. The immobilizer only cuts the starter? If so, that's the worst anti-theft function I hav ever heard of

Figured it out now.. Seems that it actually IS the immobilizer.. Honda's gonna take care of it and reprogram the immobilizer unit for me
