Lowering?
I hope this is where I'm suppose to post... This fourms has so many places to post, more than I've seen elsewhere! XD Anyway! As of now I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX. It's a nice enough little car, but there is somethign I want to do with it an I'm not sure how to begin.
I want to lower it! I hate to admit it, but I know little about lowering/supension/coil-overs, etc. Someone recommended tokico blues. SO I looked that up online, and there are more options than I can shake a stick at.
So, how do I go about finding all the parts I need to lower my car, and keep it in good shape? And how do I choose the right parts for my '97 Civic? I'm not looking for super-high quality racing parts. (I want GOOD parts, but I'm not a professional driver...) And btw, I live in an apartment, so I dont' have room to do the work myself, so I suppose I'll have to find a shop. Or someone who woudl be willing to do it for me.. right?
EDIT: So ... find someone to do it. The college I goto has an automotive course. I suppose I could go through there, right? ^^; Though not knowing who's working on my car... But compared to a shop it'll be cheap... That's my only idea. And.. I want it to handle better, I want it lowered. I don't want to spend too much, but I want to have a good quality ride. So.. i suppose I will be spending some cash. Oh well, that's what jobs are for! I'm just having trouble understanding all what I need. Springs and shocks seem to be things that keep poping up.

Re: Lowering? (HlKtFD)
tockikos blues are good, shocks then you need springs, tein is good seems to be a favorite, how much do you plan on spending? how important is ride quality? you could get full coilovers for about 600.00.

tokico blues will blow on anything much above stock springrates, they're only stock replacements
by the time you go and buy shocks and springs you could have bought full coilovers, so I suggest getting full coilovers in the first place
and you can easily do the install yourself, don't pay somebody you don't know a chunk of money when you can to it for free
