Swap Help! In desperate need!
Im swapping a B18b into a buddies 2000 Civic hatch CX.
-B18b is obd2a from a 1996 Integra.
-Civic is obd2b (2000), had a D16y7 (non-Vtec)
-Were using the D16y7 harness on the B18b.
Thers a few plugs that just arent matching... Im so lost and confused.
-The IACV on the B18b is a different plug
-The CKF (crankshaft fluctuation sensor) is different, and
-The IAT (Intake air temperature)
Please, I have no idea what to do here... Im so lost. Please help
BTW. We have a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness, and were going to be running a obd1 b18b ECU.

Re: Swap Help! In desperate need!
The IAT is on the stock intake tubing on the y7 if I am not mistaken so take the IAT from there and install on your CAI some aftermarket CAI's have this extra hole, place a grommet with an opening around the same size as the IAT or drill a hole on your stock rubber/plastic intake for it.(might have to extent the wires to reach the IAT) on the ckf see how many wires are involved and change plugs to match the sensor use wiring schematics from 96 teg and the 2000 civic to match wires and leave the one on the b18b intake unplugged. On the IACV search on this forum for ways to convert from 3 wire to 2 wire etc as needed and likewise use plug that will go on the IACV for the B18b. Plugs can be found at your junkyard if you can't find them lmk and I'll see what I have extra laying around. Hope this helps you some, its not all conclusive but this is what I would do.

Re: Swap Help! In desperate need!
1. IACV on d16 harness is 3-wire, on b18b motor IACV plug is 2-wire.
2. CKP sensor is 3-wire on d16 harness, and 2-wire on b18b motor
3. IAT plugs are both 2 wire. Just different shapes of plugs.
