Please help! Just finished a swap of a B18b from a 1996 integra into a 2000 Civic hatch.

-The civic had a d16y7 non-Vtec before.
-Were using the d16 harness on the B18b. The B18b is OBD2a, harness is OBD2b
-BTW, we are running it with a OBD1 integra B18b ECU.
We did the 3-wire to 2-wire IACV conversion, and did the same thing on the CKP sensor. As well as lengthened the Primary o2 sensor, and a couple others.

Start it up, it starts easily, but runs like crap. Sounds like its misfiring or not runing on all cyls. But I tried removing one spark plug wire at a time while running and it seems like each one made a difference, so that would make me believe all 4 are firing somewhat. Im just clueless I have no idea what to do or dont have any ideas...

IIts definitly got an engine light, but i dont know how to run the codes on this car. I only know how to do it in an integra or prelude

Check code first. Sounds like you might have switched map and tps but check cel. There is sticky on it

Got a CEL for #9 - CYP: Cylinder Sensor - P1381 (intermittent interruption), P1382 (no signal)

theres your problem. obd2a wont work with obd2b. My friend boosted his car and got a neptune ecu. he ordered the obd2b harness and he needed the obd2a harness. the engine wouldnt run right. now it does cuz he got the right harness. that might not be wats wrong with yours but its just a suggestion.

Sorry, I dont understand what your saying. The engine harness is obd2b, and we have a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness to plug in the OBD1 b18b ECU.

We pulled the motor from a wrecked integra about a week ago, which i drove the wrecked car into my garage. It ran fine then.

When we start it, it doesnt idle too too bad, still not perfect, but not bad. But its running super super rich it seems, like it just smells rank.

Just seems that when you try to rev it up any it doesnt advance the timing at all.... and just doesnt fire right.

o i thought u were trying to hook obd2a into obd2b. my bad. uhh i honestly dont kno what the problem would be, but im sorry to go off topic lol but how do u post a thread i cant figure it out lol
