studdering?!?!? not wanting to go.. haha 99em1 issues....
i ahve a 99 si. stock b16a2. nothing done to the motor at all besides intake. i just bought it a couple days ago. and the cel was on bc the o2 sensor. so i replaced it yesterday. the car was feeling like it was studdering. i would push the gas and and u could feel it wanting to go but not going hardly anywhere. i thought it wouldve been the o2 issue. but apperantly not. so i replaced the fuel filter... nope. not it. i know the car is just a stock si. and its not going to be fast or anything. and im not trying to make it fast. its my daily. but i can have the car down too long. they replaced the timing belt and water pump recently. so i talked to someone about that. and they said that maybe its off a tooth or 2. but for some reason it seems to be getting worse or maybe im just now noticeing it. but please any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you

Actually just said this on another thread...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by kay_animation »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Could be a few things. Basically it's hesitation correct? Lumpy like rpm sounds?
I had a problem that was close to this. It's usually something ignition related. I suspected a rare problem of an injector going bad. I was pulling my plugs/wires out just to double check and saw that my #1 plug had oil in it. Turns out my valve cover seal was letting oil leak into the #1 plug cylinder and causing the spark to transfer from the plug. Resealed the valve cover and cleaned up the plug hole and problem solved. Though I do need to get new plug wires now since I'm sure the wire needs to be replaced from being soaked.
But I'd check spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor (housing and rotor), and see if you find anything in those.</TD></TR></TABLE>
But in detail with yours, I'd check to make sure the timing belt is on right and the cam gears and crank are aligned correctly.
