Default Stuck in traffic, car overheating

As soon as I started to drive normally the temp needle went down.

Any ideas on why this would be happening? Any solutions to alleviate this problem?

sounds like your fan is not coming on.

Is this an easy fix or a hard one?

i had the same problem, check your coolant , hoses and let the car idle for a while and check to see if your fan comes on, if all that is good change your thermostat, if thats not it your head gasket might be on its way out thats what my problem was. i would check it out asap.

to check the thermostat, let your car come up to N.O.T. and check the upper radiator hose, if it's not hot, then your thermostat is stuck closed and needs to be replaced

yep. if it is your thermostat, do not buy one at autozone - many are sold as defective (i've got 2). spend the extra 10 bucks and get an oem one.
this one just about sums overheating problems up: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=629882

You might also want to check your thermofan relay

1)check the fan if it works
2)check coolant level
3)check thermostat
4)check exhaust manifold if there is any coolant/moisture in there. That would indicate that you need to change the head gasket or that the head is warped.
Hope this helps

Hard wire the fan to a toggle switch or to a turbo timer. Could be a waterpump? Cheap and simple just fix it before you warp your head or something.
