Stripped Motor Mount Bolt JDM D15B
Ok, my Honda i traded a while back im getting it back tomorrow. The guy stripped the bolt that hold the motor mount to the block on the drivers side. theirs 2 bolts holding it to the block and the bottom one actually broke completely and the top one is just stripped a mechanic charged him $100 and it messed up again a few days later.
How could i fix this?

no the bolt is not broke in it. the top one could be helicoiled or tapped for bigger bolt but i dont wanna do it, how much will a mechanic charge or machine shop to do this?
the bottom one is out of question it broke. the block chipped from where the bolt goes in. maybe its good with only one bolt?

lol this just happend to my jdm d15..haha anyways i havent fixxed it either. im going to helicoil the top hole and since my bottom one is broke too. If u look on the block the is another hole(odd shaped) in between the 2 existing holes. well anyways im going to tap that and drill out my mount so i can put a bolt there

Yea im gonna do it myself. Its not as hard as it seems you just drill the the hole a little and then tap it and screw in the helicoil. put your mount on and bolt everything up

might have to pull the engine out huh? or drop it lower for more room to work.
I was gonna just get a new block but thats more work. dunno yet. I might pull the motor/trans and take it to machine shop and ahve them do a good job on it.
