Default stock radio question???

I have a stock radio & was wondering if i can use my old code for the new cd player or is there another way i can get the code for it?????

i dont understand, your stock radio and the new cd player? like an aftermarket deck, if so no wont work

what i meant was that i got another stock cd player, can i use my old code or how would i get the code for the i just got??

no each deck has its own code

if its a stock one your going to have to go to the dealer and ask them, if you havent got the code or you lost it.

unless you have the vin number of the car it came out of i think your screwed. unless they can look it up by some numbers onb the deck itself. I had to give acura my vin number to get the unlock code once.

ohh ok i can get the vin from my homie, he still has the car. but does the dealer charge you for the code?

security codes are unique to each unit. You can call the dealer and give them the serial number and ask for the security code..... that's what I did.... they never even asked for the VIN.

yeah, but keep in mind that you don't run into the same problem I did. It has to be the same dealer that it was purchased from, or they won't be able to give you the radio code... Like I don't know where mine's originally purchased, so I have no idea if the radio works :-\
