starting a 95 build from scratch
Hey, this is my first post so be kind.
I just got my first Honda and Im looking to start working on it,
Im really new to this whole thing but Im really excited to start doing this.
I know Im on a fairly small budget, but Im not willing to sacrifice quality.
I'm looking for some education, advice, a few shoved down my throat, and a retarded moment or two.
So anything will be greatly appreciated and written down.
By the way my car is a 95 Honda Civic DX Coupe. Completely factory stock as for as i know.
So please any help here would be hot. Thank you in advance.

I know this is your first post but where's the build? Build plans? Goal for the car? Budget? If all you're looking for is ideas then browse this forum https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-acura-appearance-cosmetic-forums-136/

Well alright, I was reading a mag the other day and it had a 3 page article about epic tuning doing a 4wd conversion. And I love that idea, but a lot of it is mumbo jumbo to me and I was hoping someone could translate some of it :p
I know its a lot of work, but I want to try and do it since I love this car.
As far as budget goes I know its going to be expensive, and Im very frugal in real life lol and I don't want to skip out on quality, but I don't nessicarily care about name brands or any of that.
And visually I want to keep it relatively stock looking, but I want to lowes as much weight as I can so I can keep at least decent has efficiency after all of this since I still plan on driving it daily. And put a badass stereo system in my car.

If you want awd you should have bought an eclipse. Since your new to it all I say start with te basics, I/h/e(intake, header, exhaust) then maybe syspension to get some experience under you belt. As for speakers that just whatever you buy from best buy or what ever your buddy's have to sell.

OP, if you want some real information about stereos, shoot me a PM, or look around here. Either way, do not buy any of your stereo equipment from Best Buy.

Best thing to do is browse around and see what others put on their cars. Once you have a list of what you want, you will be able to know where to go from there. As for AWD setup in your coupe, it will COST money and time. But it's your car and wallet...so have at it, if you will.

When I was younger, I learned the danger in buying non-brand-name parts. My first terrible experience involved buying the house brand, oreilly, masterpro control arms for a civic. The car cambered worse with the off brand than the worn out ball joints that were on the car. I should have bought the moog and saved myself the time (in fact I did go back and trade the s***y ones in for moog). Save yourself the headache and spend the money on name brand stuff.

Ok, so start with i/h/e and then the suspension? Ok I will start looking specifcally at those.
Ok, @grumblemarc: you really are the grumpist :p
And I don't want to do this half assed, that's why I want to do a lot of research and hard work to do this right.
And Im sorry @gsrsi but if I wanted an eclipse I would've bought one. I love the 95 civic coupe, so that's what I choose to drive a friend of mine drives an eclipse and they love it. But its just not my car, you know?
