Default starter problems after clutch swap

my starter acted stupid before the clutch change so when it didnt work after the change i just went and got a refurbished one from kragens auto parts...

(((the old one wouldnt spin, it would just pop out.)))

so, i put the new one in and it doesnt start!! it just clicks..
i didnt get a chance to check if it spins because it got dark out.

...............
also are starters interchangeable between b series ??
also are flywheels interchangeable"????????

alright ill its the tranny ground.

some friends told me he had the same problem too,
said he removed the starter and put a ground to it and had someone turn the key to check if the starter would spin. maybe the second time he attached the ground right. so it worked.

i guess ill check both too test the started and fix the grounds

was that due to low battery?

nope. never figured it out. bypassed by using a solenoid from napa for gm trucks.....converts low voltage to 12v

i got it fixed. it was a wire. i moved my fuse box inside the car and i guess when i took off the starter i pulled on it too hard so it got loose on the inside where my tuck is at.
