Default Starter Location?

Sounds silly, but where would the starter be located on my 1994 Civic EX coupe (manual tranny)? It has possibly gone bad and would need to diagnose it somehow.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

or here's the dummy way to do it, there's a power wire that runs off of your battery that goes to ur starter, just follow the wire right to the starter

I don't know about "the dummy way" - but that's the best way to test it.

Jump the starter using your battery.

As for its location?

Go to the passenger side fender so you're looking at the engine sideways and look straight down. It's the cylinder on top of the trans.
