Starter Crank Noise...

Starter Crank Noise...
I searched but there was no final answer to this topic.
Two times when i started the car, starter made the noise which you hear when the car is already running, then it started on the second try.
And then today... it did not start, just kept on giving me that grinding noise, finaly after like 10 times it started.
And no it does not happen all the time, it is 3rd time in like a week? Drive car daily..
Just week ago i puted the engine into the car from crashed vic, it is the d16y8 or whatever the code is. He had a fuel rail, cam pulley, fuel regulator etc.... Maybe flywheel??.....
What to do? Take the starter out, what should i check..
