The start of something bad? Idle problems
Ok, quick symptoms. My d16y8 a few weeks ago for 2 minutes was acting goofy. I was at a stoplight and the Idle started dipping really low and sounded like it wanted to die. And when the light turned green as im accelerating it would 'hiccup' a few times. Didnt act funny one time since. now on sunday i was on lunch at work, and sitting in a drive though and noticed the rpms were starting to dip down again, and I gave it a lil rev so it wouldnt die. Again after that nothing happened.
Now this could be the start of some problem that will acrew down the line so i figured that I should ask now. = ]
Obvious problems with my car: Battery doesnt have too much life left. is this problem related?
Has new spark plugs, wires, rotor cap, 1 new injector, fuel filter. (thanks honda for your 96-97 tech service bulliton) among other things.
Cliffnotes: Car idle drops, and hiccups for 2 minutes... once a few weeks ago and once sunday. Start of something bad?

Disconnect and check your IACV. Make sure the screen is clean. Do it when the motor is cool. I was a total moron back then and did it after driving.
Coolant is hot.
