SRS delete, but to retain horn function?
Upon taking out my dash yesterday, I started contemplating where to locate my proportioning valve for the brake system when I do the tuck. I have seen several references to mount it on the shelf where the SRS computer is located. Having no use for the SRS, I've decided to go ahead and delete it. I've already depinned the cruise control from the aux harness and removed the motor and pedal cable, so that won't be a problem. All I need for that is to find the plate that takes the place of the cruise switch on the steering wheel.
How can I delete the ABS and still retain the horn functionality? I will DEFINITELY need the horn now, as it has been a safety issue in the past not having one and is required by state law for inspection. This will also help with running an aftermarket steering wheel in the future. Are theses systems modular? Would I need to replace the slip ring and such to do a full ABS delete in the end? Or is it possible to keep it with the stock wiring?Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

lol thats what i thought. should not interfere with ur horn at all. since the car was equipped factory with an air bag system some inspections can fail u for not having it.

Re: SRS delete, but to retain horn function?
If i understand correctly, the horn is integrated in the srs wiring. Hence why the wiring diagrams for horn systems between srs equipped civics and those that are not.equipped with them are different, just for starters.
Second, they can't fail me for it, so long as my abs light isn't on. No computer, no light.
Lastly, I will be running an aftermarket wheel in the future.

I think I'll opt to keep it and hide the prop valve in front of it. I'm just worried about the upkeep on it and half the sensors to run the srs are faulty after 15 years anyway lol.
