squeeking noise wen i push in the clutch??? 92 hatch/ gsr/stock clutch
Hey there everytime i push in te clutch on my gsr hatch it makes a sort of a squeeing sound. The reservioir is almost full so it cant be not enough fluid. Could it be that rubber boot by where u bleed the clutch needs to be greased inside. how do i go about this and is that the problem??

its most likely the throw out bearing and to fix it u gotta take off the tranny and put grease on it

i believe it is the spring that has rusted. many of us HT-ers have the same problem.

yes def. check the spring...
it would be way nicer if thats what it is than having to replace the throwout bearing

Yes. Every civic I've been in has this problem. Even after lubing the bearing and arm, the noise will come back after a while. Just something you have to learn to live with.

What happens if you leave it ungreased?

So it'll be okay to drive around for a little while right? Will it cause major damage cause I just bought this jdm gsr trans from Hmotorsonline not even a week ago . I'll try to spray some lube inside the boot and see what happens. Then I'ma try to adjust the clutch pedal. hopefully that solves the problem, really don't feel like dropping the trans again .

Re: (civic_driver)
it's more of a grinding noise than sqeaking when the clutch is lightly pressed on or even when I fully step on it. kinda seems like the TOB is pushing up against the plate .
if it makes a difference, it's a exedy organic clutch with a oem flywheel
btw thanks for responding so quickly .

that's normal... remember the plate rotates as well and since the plate splines are not smooth (where the TOB pushes the plate) it will displace hydraulic fluid on the rough spots which can be felt at your clutch pedal.. if that's what you mean by grind... but are you feeling this or do you hear a sound?
the TOB also makes a sound as it gets in contact with the plate especially if it's new
where is the sound coming from?

Re: (civic_driver)
I can definately hear it and feel it even if my foot rests on the clutch or depressing it in. Definately drives like a beast though with the new LSD in it. I used the old TOB that came with the trans when I bought it from Hmotorsonline and forgot to grease the bearing, fork, & shaft which can probaly cause it to make that noise.
I'ma leave it as is till something breaks .If worst comes to worst what will & can happen?
btw civic_driver Thanks
