Default Spoon stroker

Hi, I have a b16b civic type r motors and I have seen many Japanese upgrade their internals to a B18C. And I am struggling to find parts to do that. I have seen Spoon makes a kit for B16b, but they uses B18B internals not B18C. Is there any difference between B18B and B18C internals. I would rather have B18C internals because many tuning companies in Japan stroke their engine up using B18C.

So please can I have some help on this Please?

I want to go 1.8....

Is the spoon kit any good?

Does it match with the Jun stage 3 camshafts?

Thanks

Use the crank and the rods off an ITR or GSR, that will give you the 1.8 displacement u want. That's what spoon stroker kit is. Spoon uses stronger rods and pistons and it's ultra balanced. I think you can achieve the same thing and save some money. B16B and B18C uses the same block with diff. rotating assemblies. The B16B uses B16a crank to keep the 1.6 rod ratio and displacement. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help, but does that mean the B18B crank is same as the B18C crankshaft from the interga type r.

Because I am looking to buy the spoon B18 cranshaft and rods, Toda pistons, Jun stage 3 camshaft and then map it with the Apex-i power FC. Do you think this is a good set up? Or do I need some stronger rods like the Jun one.

Please can I have some opinion on this please.

Many thanks

the 18B name you see on the Spoon catalog is a misnomer. that is just Spoon's funny name for it.

the parts in the 18B kit are NOT from a b18b

they are b18c-r parts
