Spoon 1.8 stroker
I was wondering if I bought a CTR stroker kit from Spoon, would it be the same as replacing my internals in my B18C1 with Spoon balanced parts? The reason I ask is cause I need to replace my internals...ie., crank, pistons, rings, rods, etc. This seems like a cheaper alternative to buying a B18C shortblock. Would this work?
Since when is buying a complete stroker kit from Spoon cheaper than buying a B18c short block?? I read a while back you can get a assembled ITR short block direct from Acura for around $1800. Much cheaper than a complete stroker kit i'm sure.
The spoon stroker kit is made b16 engines but you can install the kit into your b18 motor. The price is cheaper than I thought but labor will cost quite a bit. The itr short block costs a lot more $1800. An ITR head from Acura costs around $1800 and it's missing some parts too. The spoon kit should be very reliable, it uses everything from honda minus the headgasket.

I already have the block, but getting Spoon balanced 1.8 parts for 1180 is worth it in my opinion. My head is a JG head with JUN 3's and Crower valvetrain components. So...it's ready for high revs.
Thanks for the advice guys

The spoon parts are just balanced, nothing more. Where can I find info on Acura OEM prices? JDM ITR long blocks NEW cost $9,000 retail. If you are really commited on purchasing the spoon stroker kit IM me I can get it for through inlinefour.com.
