hmmm i was thinking of getting a spoon kit.. but the price diff is like around 1300$ hmm.. wat rods will i need and what size of pistons will i need to stroke up my b16a block? yeah i know i need a b18c1 or 5 crank right? how about the piston thing? and rods? help me out dudes..

the only thing you can do to stroke is swap the b17 crank and rods. Other companies make stroker kits for the b16a but the spoon one is just factory ITR stuff and is only for the b16b...The b16b is not the same block as a b16a. B16b is destroked b18c.
i know dude.. i know its not the same nlcok the ctr block is taller.. anyways.. wat kind pistons do i need? hmmm if i just buy a b18 crank and put n b16a rods.. and pistons.. well wat kind of pistons?! help me out i heard they use a single ring pistons for this kinda setup..
ok...I was just letting you know. I wasn't for sure if you knew that.
I'm almost positive there is NO rod you can use with a b18c crank in a B16A block.
If you want to stroke it using OEM parts, go with b17 crank and rods with either CTR piston or b16 pistons.
Aftermarket stroker kits are just that....not OEM and I do believe they use a single ring piston.

people still dont understant..that b16b is a destroked b18c block..its not a b16 cast. they start with a b18c cast when they make the b16b.
say it once and dont repeat it again.....***** em'

Whats your point? the guy asking the question has a b16A block.

Point being you cant shove b18c internals into a b16a without some sort of modification.

edit: even if you get everything to fit into a B16A motor, you might need to apply a deck plate to compensate for the B16B stroke in a B16A which I have seen to be totally un-reliable. ( LS rods in a B16 block deck plated )

hmm hi again peeps .. i want a sleeper engine if u guys know wat i mean.. hmm i was looking or a b18c crank.. and not use the b16b rods.. i will use the pr3 rods wat pistons would u recommend on this? pls guys i need a straight answers none of those bullshit block stuffs or those spec **** i need straight answers tanx!
Listen bro....you cant use b18c crank and b16 rods...its not gonna happen. The only way this would be possible is to weld on a deck plate. If you want to stroke the b16 go with the b17 internals. If you want more displacement consider resleeving the block to say 85-86mm. This keeps your handy-dandy short stroke and great rod/stroke ratio and adds displacement...
It's almost 10 in the mornign so my math skills are a little off, someone help me here. I believe a resleeved b16 to 85mm is between 1.8-1.9liters. There's your displacement.

If you DO have a B16B Block ... Then I would go to your local AcUrA dealer and order a crank shaft and a set of rods for a 94 and up GS-R..... And while your at it you might just want to pick up a Set of Type-R pistions....
and there you have it ..a 1.8L in the B16B block.... just like may others have posted in this thread.....
BTW that stroker kit should not cost more than 1000$ from the dealer..

ONCE AGAIN EVERYONE...He has a B16A block, not a B16B. He wants to stroke a B16A...really hard to achieve 1.8liters of displacement with that block(in terms of stroking, not sleeving)
