speedomoter broken

Default speedomoter broken

did a clutch install last week and now all of a sudden my speedomoter stops working. Now I have a cel. I have a del sol with a 00 civic si swap... please help did search but nothing came up

Did you plug in the speed sensor, or did it get broken/pinched?

Did you plug the VSS back in? Its a sensor that is located on the Transmission housing.

VSS is the Vehicle Speed Sensor. It would definitely keep the speedo from working if it is broken or not plugged in.

no it was workin this afternoon when driving but when I left my friends house it just stopped working and through the light

it did this right after I did the clutch install but then it fixed itself. Now its doin again a week later

The VSS is #8 & 9


here you can see it on the right side of the tranny which is the closest side to the firewall

my question is why would be goin hay wire after a week. its never done that before plus my sensor doesnt look like that

I need more help... I would rather not take it to honda if i can fix it myself.

The pins inside the plugs are probably all corroded away.
