Default Speedometer is PMS'n

my speedometer sometimes works and sometimes doesnt, it will completely drop down past 120 and just hang, then all the sudden zip up to 95. then sometimes work normal.

Does anyone have any input? Is it malfunctioning does a cable need to be worked on?

Check your VSS on the top of the tranny.

Eh, speedos. I gave up on mine. Replaced the VSS and it didn't do anything. My problem is either a cluster or wiring problem.

VSS or you'll need a new cluster. i was running cluster-less for a month or two when i swapped in an integra LS one into my EK. i used my turbo timer to tell me how fast i was going. it's soooo ghetto. hope you fix it

Check for continuity between the YEL/WHT wire of the VSS and the YEL/BLU wire behind the gauges. The wire at the gauges will be the second from the end of the single row 12 pin connector. The one on the tach side of the cluster. Start here and we will go from there..

Also make sure the ground on the thermostat housing is secure and not too badly muffed. Also make sure it doesn't look like any wire have come loose..
