i have 17inch rims with 205 40 17 tires would this be larger than stock rims with 50 to 60 tires and would this cause my speedometer to be incorrect at highspeeds by like 10 to 15 mph?

Your 205/40 are bigger but not that much bigger. Only 1/2" taller. Toyo recommends not going bigger than 1.5". Your speedometer is off, but not by much.

Yeah, that would be a good rule of thumb.
