99-00 FogLight Help (searched)
I need help installing 99-00 Depo FogLights on my 00 Ex...
Here are some pictures to help you out
If someone could explain to me where this plugs into. Maybe a picture would help. I would like to figure out where this stuff goes before I disassemble my car.
I pretty much know what to do with the relay in the left corner. It has a ground, fuse and (what I think is a relay).
I think you just screw the relay down along with the ground wire based on this diagram (step 30)
http://www.hondaautomotivepart....html
It has it screwing in under the relay but all of this is taking place under the dash.
*See, on the OEM wiring, the fuse/relay are on the switch harness. On mine, the fuse/relay are on the FogLight harness.
The wiring I have looks like this,
*In the first picture I have the harness set-up on the bed like I think it should be set-up in the car. Let me know if I even have it right.
*This is the Manual I'm using, so if you could explain it to me based on this diagram, that would be great

In your second picture. The gold ring connector goes to the positive terminal of the battery. A lot of people mistake it for a ground and wonder why the fog light switch turns on, but the actual fog lights don't.
In the first picture it looks like the brown connector goes into the underdash fusebox into one of the accessory outlets or another plug hidden behind the fusebox and the other piece of it looks like a ground. It could also connect to the oem fog light connector which is a brown connector located near your windshield washer reservior.

Re: 99-00 FogLight Help (wadup)
So that whole assembly(relay/fuse/gold ring) goes over by the battery? And it just connects to the battery? Thanks for the quick reply

If it does connect by the windshield washer reservior, then it doesn't look like I would have enough wire to make it to the interior. On another note, where do I run the wires to the interior? Is there a grommet somewhere?

Re: (civic_speed99)
**** man i had the depo's installed for a few months...they're out now cuz turbo is in...but anyways, that brownish plug goes into spot #5 in the interior fuse box9if memory serves me right) and also, you really need to make sure you have a good ground, thats why mine didnt work at first. where ever you decide to ground, make sure you sand the paint off first....thats what made mine work.

Re: (bluemax189)
I was going to put it on the same ground that the car is grounded on. (right next to the A/C). I don't know much about grounding, but the OEM honda manual said to put it there.
it's step #11 on here
http://www.hondaautomotivepart....html
can someone tell me which one I should use? I have A/C, but I don't know which one to bolt it to and if you can ground 2 things in 1 spot.
oh, thanks again for the great/quick replies
edit: another thing, what kinda intercooler/turbo kit do you have and what motor? I'm wondering if I can have fogs since I plan to turbo my D...
