When accelerating hard, my speedometer jumps around any idea why???

weird...mine does the same thing. i think its just a bad connection or sensor. I noticed when i shift hard mine stops working and if i shift hard again it fixes itself... i guess just a quirk.

When the speedometer jumps, does the car let off for a second too, or does the car remain completely normal.

do you get a CEL 17 VSS error?

If not, the speedo head is going out.

I have a similar problem, but my speedo only flicks around in the morning. After about 10 min or so of driving it doesn't do it again until I fiddle with the speed control. I already checked the VSS for a bad connection and damage etc, it looks fine. I think it's something electrical tho, the kid that had the sol before me really did a hack job on the entire car.

thanx guys
