Default speedo problemo

okay heres the deal, i have a 94 DX hatch with an EX gauge cluster. the speedo always reads 25mph higher than i'm actually going, when i'm going 50, it reads 75, 75, it reads 100, etc. whn i'm at a dead stop its says i'm going 25. interestingly tho when i cut the car off (in the either off or acc position) the speedo goes back down to 0. all the other gauges work perfectly fine, tach, fuel, and temp. just the damn speedo.... any help is apprecitaed, thanks.

Time for a new gauge cluster or check your speed sensor.

if the previous guy that had it put some rice gauges in it they may have takin the needles off to put them in (a guy i know did it to is ricestang and his speedo was crap too alsoo his temp gauge was screwed). best thing to do is take off the plastic and remove the needles hat need be, start the car and put them back on where they should be it worked for the ford guy
