speedo acting funny...
i have read a few forums on here about this problem and so far i can't
seem to have any luck fixing mine.
my speedo is funny, it somtimes whether moving or not will jump
around, from 20 to 100, 40 to 80 ect...and sometimes it just don't work at all,
i could be driving and it will b at 0, then all a sudden it jumps to my speed.
I checked my grounds, i pulled the dash and checked the cluster...i'm new
to problems with this so can someone help me out?
any ideas...

Re: speedo acting funny...
my speedo has that intermittent problem too...i just chalked it up to the plastic gears that make it work. I ordered a low mileage cluster off ebay, so hopefully that will take care of it.

I have the same problem and I have a spare cluster. I just haven't had the time to try it(my project 3rd car), when I get around to trying it I will let you know.

Have you checked your VSS? Mine had bad wiring, snipped here, connected there and whamo it was good. Don't waste money on a cluster when it could just simply be a bad VSS or wiring.

Re: speedo acting funny...
doubt its ur cluster...i know this is an old thread btw but this info may help.
check the VSS aaaand the clip that goes into the vss...my clip was jacked up so i got another one from a harness and it worked...gauges usually dont go bad so its either the vss or clip...bet its the clip.
